Mark 13:1,2 says… As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!”
“Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
The disciple had the most beautiful creation walking right beside him, Jesus, and his focus was on the magnificent beauty of the temporary. How many times do I focus on the beauty of the temporary and miss the everlasting beauty of my Lord. As the stones of my temporary life will be destroyed, I must focus on my Rock that will never be shaken, Jesus Christ!
