I think about how we live in such a fast-paced society. We want it now – all of it. We are unaccustomed to having to wait and when we do our attitudes aren’t very pretty. God’s ways are very different. He will wait a lifetime for us to grow into the person that he designed us to be. He is the patient farmer wooing his crop into greatness.
Growth is a process. We must give grace and allow others time to grow just as we need time. We need to not waste our days but do something everyday to grow into greatness. If we try to skip steps of growth we will only be weak. We all have a yearning for something deeper, something that is lasting. Spend each day growing in God. Don’t waste his precious gift. It is in His time that we will blossom into the beautiful person He created us to be. Keep an eternal perspective in the decisions you make. God is on the throne and His greatness is unfathomable – follow His path of growth and end your life well.
