Of course with the celebration of Father’s Day being just a few days away, I wanted to take a minute and reflect on our Heavenly Father. He truly is the perfect Father. His love for us knows no boundaries. His faithfulness is unmatched. His kindness draws us to Him. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our protector and provider. He is the fulfillment of every good thing our hearts yearn for.
Our Heavenly Father is …
- Our Protector: “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7
- Our Provider: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
- Our Guide: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” Micah 4:2
- Loving: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.” Lamentations 3:22
- Faithful: “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.” Psalm 119:89-90
- Trustworthy: “The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.” Psalm 111:7
- Attentive: “But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.” Psalm 33:18
- Our Safe Place: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
May we spend time this Father’s Day weekend celebrating the love of our Father, thanking Him for His gracious kindness and everlasting faithfulness.
