At times, in a world bustling with billions of people, it’s easy to feel insignificant, wondering if our presence holds any real value. We grapple with the concept of purpose and question our uniqueness. We may find ourselves pondering whether we are genuinely cherished by anyone.
Yet, God created this entire world uniquely and purposefully, and as He looked upon His creation, something remarkable was missing—you! You were intricately woven into the beautiful tapestry of His creation. Your individuality is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. God, in His perfection, fashioned you with care and intention.
Genesis 1:27 tells us that we are created in the image of God. You are an image-bearer of the Almighty, and He has written a beautiful story for your life. You were thoughtfully envisioned, meticulously designed, and purposefully placed on Earth at this precise moment in history. You are no accident; God made no error in creating you.
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.'” Acts 17:24-28
Every breath we take and every step we make is a result of the unwavering, unconditional love of a Heavenly Father who sees us, knows us, and loves us immensely. It’s essential to remember that while God doesn’t need us, He wants us. He desires an intimate relationship with us.
As a parent of adult children, I understand the longing to simply spend time with them and hear their voices, whether it’s something of importance or just trivial matters. My heart hurts when they hurt and rejoices when they rejoice. I know the Lord is like this. He created us, loves us, and desires a relationship with us.
So, as you go about your day, remember to seize moments to contemplate the beauty of God and the depth of His love for you. Remember, you were intentionally created to be in communion with Him, and take time to whisper the words He longs to hear: “I love you, Lord!”
May we continue to live…
Rooted in Him,
