A NEW DAY!

ANewDayWhen we are in the midst of a difficult situation we often feel like things will never get better.  We forget that life is full of mountains and valleys.  The desperate feelings of despair and discouragement creep in and we begin to believe that the rest of our life is hopeless.

“A powerful motivation for believing God in our present is intentionally remembering how He’s worked in our past.”  Beth Moore

Each of us have our own stories, stories that show God’s faithfulness in the past.  We also read incredible stories of His faithfulness in the Bible.

  • The parting of the Red Sea
  • Manna from heaven
  • The resurrection of Lazarus
  • Healing of the blind, lame and deaf
  • Most importantly, the resurrection of Christ.

I can only imagine the disciples’ feelings of desperation as Jesus was in the grave.  Did they realize that three days later, Christ would arise?  What if they had given up hope an hour before his resurrection?  A minute?

When our troubles seem like they will never end, we must hold on and realize that our resurrection is on the way.  It could be another day, another hour or even just another minute.  God never forgets his promises to us and we must not forget His faithfulness to fulfill them.

We don’t know when the change will happen but our past tells us that whenever there is a difficult time, there is always a day of rejoicing that will follow.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
(Hebrews 13:8)

Never give up and remember to trust in the faithfulness of God.

Keep walking …

A NEW DAY

is just around the corner.
