“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”

An Advocate – someone who fights for you, speaks up on your behalf, has your best interest in mind.
Often times when we’re in the midst of struggles we think, “If I just had someone on my side … someone who was for me.”
And to think, our Heavenly Father loves us so deeply He doesn’t want us to journey alone so He sent His Spirit to dwell within us. His Spirit, advocating for us, fighting for us, guiding and directing us.
What a priceless gift to have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us to:
- teach us
- remind us
- bring peace
- take away fear
There is great noise in the world and many errant voices speaking over us. The graciousness of God to have His Spirit dwelling within us to guide and direct us and to speak truth to us. How reassuring in the midst of chaos and confusion, His Spirit brings peace and removes fear.
Lean in, listen to His whispers, move with His nudges, rest in His presence. Our Advocate – God with us!
