Reading the verse, “He is good; his love endures forever,” caused me to reflect that in a world of bad, He is good. In a world of hate, He is love, and in a world of limitations, He is forever.
Sitting in my car at a stoplight on a busy street with my window down, I heard loud music. Looking to my right, I saw a homeless man with a music box in his cart blaring the song “Goodness of God.” He stopped with his hands raised high and sang at the top of his lungs.
“And all my life you have been faithful
And all my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”
And with tears in my eyes, all I could do was join him in song, expressing my gratefulness for the goodness of God.
