Just in case you’re wondering … if you’re doubting … you are not a mistake, you’re not an accident. You were purposefully and wonderfully created. You were born into this dispensation, at this time, as an image-bearer of God.
With all of the noise in this world, we can find ourselves lost, insecure, wondering if our lives even matter. It seems we never measure up, and the day to day may seem futile.
And yet feelings can betray us and it’s important we see what is true.
Psalm 139: 13-16 tells us:
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.“
You, personally, as an individual, are a one of a kind, beautiful masterpiece, intricately created by a God who loves you fiercely, You have intrinsic value, not because of anything you’ve done but because of who you are, an image-bearer of God.
Life can be challenging and difficulties can seem overwhelming at times. There is no where you can go, nothing you can do, that will keep you from the love of God.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 8:38-39
Just because things may seem overwhelming or difficult, this is not a reflection of God’s love for you. Jesus told us that we would have troubles in this world but to take heart because he overcomes all things (John 16:33). God sees you, is holding you and loves you. You are precious in His sight … you are His Masterpiece!
