Different Weapons

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Sometimes we find ourselves running around doing the same thing over and over again and experiencing the same results. The struggles and hardships are the same, we feel powerless to change the outcome. Could this be due to how we face our struggles and hardships?

Often, when difficult things come my way I find myself barely treading water and hoping I can at least keep my head above. I tend to fight with the power I posses within my own strength oblivious to the divine weapons at my disposable. I foolishly fight against my enemy with plastic trinkets when I have the authority to battle as a daughter of the King.

My thoughts limit my outcome when I am small minded. However, when I have the mind of Christ, wearing my helmet of salvation, I will be untouchable remaining steadfast in my identity in Christ.

The weapons to living victorious come only through intimate prayer and realigning my mind to God’s truth. This must be a daily resetting of my mind and heart to remain lockstep with my Savior for in this I will find victory!

Rooted in Him,
