EVERYTHING CHANGES

When the Lord enters a life, everything changes…Everything!

oaktreeWhat is your name right now? Is it despair, depression, sadness, hopeless or something else?  When the Lord enters, it all changes.  What was old, now becomes new.  What was forgotten is now remembered.  The Psalmist holds on to the promise, “The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalm 138:8)

At times we think it’s over, that nothing will change, that it will always be the same.  We lose hope.  But…everything can change…when the Lord enters.

Isaiah declares in 61:1-3:

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because

  • he has anointed me to preach good news
  • He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
  • to proclaim freedom for the captives
  • and release from darkness for the prisoners,
  • to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
  • to comfort all who mourn,
  • and provide for those who grieve in Zion –
  • to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
  • the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
  • and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Instead of Broken, He calls us whole.

Instead of Captive, He calls us free.

Instead of Darkness, He calls us Light.

Instead of Sadness, He calls us Comforted.

Instead of Ashes, He calls us Beautiful.

Instead of Mourning, He calls us Glad

Instead of Despair, He call us Praise.

We are His SPLENDOR, His GLORY, His BEAUTY.

Because…when God steps in…EVERYTHING changes!
