Harmful words…
Unfaithfulness…
Disloyalty…
Loneliness…
So many experiences in our lives that cut us to the core of who we are. Life… often leaves us disappointed and wondering if we are worth it. Do we matter? Would someone fight for us? Are we important and valued?
And then the God of the universe, the One who knows us more intimately than anyone else does, the good and the bad, declares at the top of His voice….“I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE!”
The perfect One, the Holy One, steps out of His glorious place in heaven and enters this humble earth, in the most humble form, just so we would know His great love for us. Love so deep that He would rather die the most horrible, disrespectful death, at the hands of His own beloved creation, than to spend an eternity without us.
Now that is truly a display of everlasting love.
